Possible duplicate billing for some TV streaming services

We switched from Comcast Cable to Streaming via YouTube TV about a year ago. We love the service although it has taken several months to learn how to find an select the shows and movies we want to watch.

We rely on APPLE TV whenever possible to handle billing on most channels. That usually works well. But periodically it feel that we may be billed for a service twice, once through APPLE and once direct from the channel. Discovery +, BritBox and Paramount + seem to be the likely suspects.

How can we learn what we are actually being billed for and what, if any, duplicate billing is happening???

Is there a way to receive a monthly billing summary we can review???

Apple won’t know where and for what you subscribed to elsewhere, but all your subscriptions through Apple are listed in your subscriptions overview.

See your subscriptions overview - Apple.

All the content and subscriptions that you have paid for, are also specified in your purchase history. View your purchase history for the App Store, iTunes Store, and other Apple media services - Apple Support

Thanks for directing me to the Subscriptions Overview. Seeing all our streaming subs in one place puts our mind at ease.

That said, periodically we click on a single source to get info on a specific program, say on Discovery+ or Paramount+. Up pops a notice that informs us we need to renew our subscription. Our first reaction is usually "How can that be? We have already paid (monthly or annually) for this channel thru Apple." That's when we start to worry that we'll be charged twice. Any thoughts on handling this duplication confusion?

Some content providers, e.g. Paramount+, offer their services through their own app and also as channel inside the Apple TV app. These types of subscriptions have different terms and conditions, different perks and limitations, and are not exchangeable as such. If the intended link for the correct type is mismatched somehow, then it could alert for a missing active subscription. See the active setting for preferred content provider under the How to Watch header on the Details page for any show in the Apple TV app.

Not sure about Discovery+. That seems to be a singular unambiguous streaming service at this time. In a few months, Discovery+ and HBO Max may make some changes, and that may or may not affect Discovery+ as a stand-alone service.
