Black windows in Safari and Mail in Ventura OS

There is no mention in the release notes so I expect no improvement with Ventura 13.5.

i was having the black window problem in both mail and safari on and off but on enough to be very annoying, but I have not had the problem in a while and hoping it has been resolved

Just started seeing this today - Mac Studio M2 Ultra, 64 GiB, Ventura 13.5.

Going to do a reboot later; system uptime 27 days 16:33.

some further issues with powerpoint; the slide is totally corrupted and nothing shows properly (a lot of boxes and graphics are missing)

This still happens on Sonoma. But I get more black windows now than magenta.

I did yesterday and arranged a call to check my laptop remotely. I reported in detail these issue and shared the link to this discussion thread with them. I'll give an update as soon as I know more.

I suspect that this is h/w-related. If it was software- or OS-related, the reports of users dealing with the same issue would have scaled up considerably...

Yes, correct. I believe this is the case for everyone experiencing this issue. In case this is a hardware issue, it was prior to Ventura at least wrapped into some different software behavior/layer.

Same, started after installing Ventura. I think that’s everyone’s experience with it.

On my laptop that is no longer happening, I don’t think I did anything though. Others still see it.

I'm running macOS 14.2.1

There is a clear issue with MEMORY (RAM) in these new machines. Instead of lagging the graphics simply do not render and display a black window in safari. The screen saver is also effected and will only display a solid magenta color. This can easily be replicated and reproduced every time. Simply open as many Safari winnows as possible. Pretty sad.
