macbook air m2 mouse problem

Hello,

It seems that there is a bug I'm dealing with.

As I was working today, I had to run a video from my company security cameras and dealt with a bug that occurred multiple times:

I played a record of the video from our company security cameras in the browser (Chrome, can't play it on Safari browser) - as i connected the charger (Apple genuine charger - 30W).

my mouse stopped clicking (logitech mx2s).

i tried to use my other mouse (magic mouse)- and the same thing happened with it, even the touchpad wasn't clicking - so I couldn't close or open any folders / tabs / or do anything with my macbook.

the second time happened as I was connecting an external screen to my macbook and playing a record of a video from our security cameras, and it happed again with not any reason.

I couldn't click, but my macbook wasn't freezing - the video kept playing as i could move the mouses but couldn't click.

the problem solved only after I forced a shutdown via the power button.

Hey Uriel9,

Thanks for reaching out here in Apple Support Communities and sharing all those details. The one thing that sticks out is this is only happening when using the Axxonsoft software.

Have you checked with Axxonsoft to see if there is an update needed for the software to work with the MacBook Air M2? We took a look and found the link for contacting Axxonsoft, just click here: Support.

Reach back out if there is anything we can do to help.

Take care!

Hello,

Thank you for the response.

The Axxonsoft installed on a PC / Linux computers that uses as a server and they did updated to the last version on them

From my macbook I'm connecting directly to the server as a client via IP address from Chrome (unfortunately Safari not supported).

However, this happened to me again after work hours, while I was browsing the web, with not any special activity.

My mouse couldn't click (both magic mouse and logitech, and even the touchpad). I could change tabs via command + tab scrolling via the arrows keys, but couldn't click.

This problem haven't happened again after that day - correctly I'm working with my macbook without any special problems.

(I just hope it won't happen again)
