As others have indicated, I have tried "safe mode" reboot to my iMac with Ventura 13.2. The app continues to crash in this mode. In normal mode, I have held the shift key which appears to bring up the Mail App, but after a few keystrokes or file openings, the app crashes again. Is there any progress on a more permanent fix. It seems more than coincidental that my problems started with upgrading my OS to 13.2.

Ya know - the constant "safe boot" answer to all Mac problems is sooo frustrating as a non-tech user. Especially since, as I watch this suggestion scroll by - it has a very low rate of success. Any other thoughts?

Mail crashes immediately when opening.

I’ve tried all of the solutions presented on discussions.apple.com.

Some allow mail to work and most do not allow mail to work.

When mail works it only lasts for a couple of app starts and then mail crashes each and every time upon opening.

Mail appears to corrupt itself fairly quickly.

Using a different mac on an earlier OS to do business and personal mail.

This makes our new mac Studio a brick for our business and personal use.

Hope someone in the Mac support team finds the issue soon.

I removed all of my email accounts from Apple mail and tested each separately. I found that Spectrum webmail was causing Apple mail to crash. iCloud, Gmail and MicroSoft exchange all worked find. I now have to use the Spectrum webmail took to access that one email account. Very inconvenient.
