When I went to find last year's data (2021) I could not find it or any turbotax data. I searched for a .tax file in Finder. I followed Intuit help advice for locating the files using Spotlight and did not find them. I still have Turbotax 2021 on my computer and it can not locate the 2021 files. Does anyone have suggestions on how to find these files?
Do a Spotlight search for ".tax2021" without the quotation marks. If you're looking for the latest 2022 file then search for .tax2022.
Or, if spotlight doesn't find it try searching for it with the shareware app Find Any File.
Trash bin in the Dock for deletion.
FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages.

The Spotlight search came up empty, but I downloaded Find Any File from the link you shared and it found my .tax2021 file. Amazing!!! You saved me a ton of time and exasperation. Thank you!!

Normally they are put in your documents directory.
I can not find Turbo Tax files on my iMac
