Scratches On Stainless Steel 14 Pro Max

Why is the clear apple MagSafe case scratching my stainless steel on my phone I took my case off to clean the case and phone from dust and dirt and there was a lot in the case I used a microfiber cloth to clean my iPhone and I saw lots of little scratches from dust that was under the case? No other case did this before and I just got this Apple MagSafe clear case for iPhone 14 pro max please help what should I do I just got the phone and I’m paying on it
