Copy Paste and Selecting issues on iOS 16 (fully updated to 16.1.1)

So, I’m currently downloading the most recent update but I’ve had this issue continuously with every update after downloading iOS 16 and don’t expect it to change.

Firstly, selecting has become a nightmare. I used to easily be able to grab the handle bars to slide. Now half the time they won’t move and when they do they often go wildly beyond target up and down on the line until I can select what I want and do so in a jerky way. Sometimes it just selects all for no reason.

Additionally, half the time when red text shows spelling errors and I click on it, it will select the whole word rather than offer the suggestion. It will do this over and over.

Also, I’m having issues with my clipboard. After about 20 min or 2-3 pastes, I will go to paste and there’s just nothing as if the clipboard completely erased itself. It happens constantly. If gives the option to paste, I click it and nothing happens.

Also, when I select a bunch of text and want to deselect I used to be able to click it twice in the selected text field and the selection would disappear or highlight one word. Now I have to go to the bottom of the selection, and click outside it. This doesn’t happen universally but in mostly apple apps it seems, such as texts and the notes app. These are the places I’m trying to make the most edits!!

This is making me bonkers. So many things that were simple before are now completely tedious. I’ve had this glitchiness completely erase giant swaths of text because it won’t select right. (Speaking of, are we ever gonna get an undo??).

I can’t find anything on this anywhere either. I can’t be the only one this is happening to.

Oh. Was just in a hurry and didn’t realize it wouldn’t add that when I clicked which device of mine it was in reference to. It’s an iPhone 13 mini on 16.1.1. I’ll be downloading the other one later when I’m on a charger. This has been happening and not changing though through every version of the iOS 16 updates. It was not an issue on iOS 15. I’m just saying I don’t expect it to change with an Update considering this. I’d like troubleshooting for if it doesn’t that isn’t just the boiler plate instruction to update.
