iOS shortcut to add actually played song to a specific playlist not works when launched from Apple Watch

Hi,

I have a very simple shortcut, what works well on iPhone:

Get Current Song -> Add To Playlist

If I launch it from my Apple Watch, it doesn't work.

I've tried to modify the script based on reddit forum post, but this works only on iPhone too:

Get Current Song -> Wait for one second -> Get Current Song -> Add To Playlist

Any idea, why it doesn't work on Apple Watch?

Thanks,

Laszlo

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities szl1973,

If you haven't yet, try re-creating the shortcut:

Step 1: Create a new shortcut in your shortcuts collection.

Step 2: Add actions in the shortcut editor.

Step 3: Run your new shortcut to test it.

Create a custom shortcut on iPhone or iPad

Tap the More button in the top-right corner of the shortcut.

Tap the Info button on the shortcut screen, then turn on Show on Apple Watch.

Use shortcuts on Apple Watch

We hope this helps!

Thanks for getting back to us szl1973, it’s appreciated.

When you try to run the Shortcuts on your Apple Watch, are you getting any error messages? If so, what is the full text of the error you see?

Are you syncing the Shortcuts from your iPhone to Apple Watch? Sync shortcuts on iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If yes, if you open the Shortcuts app on your Apple Watch, do you see the Shortcuts there? Open apps on Apple Watch - Apple Support

We look forward to your reply.

All the best.
