I recently gave my son my old iPhone XR. He has his own number and all but it still has all of my contacts and Apple Music albums/songs. I’d like my son to have his own contacts and his own music etc.. he is under 13 yrs old. Do I reset the iPhone itself and create an Apple ID for him? I’m unsure what I need to do.

To obtain his Apple ID:
Create an Apple ID for your child - Apple Support
Then:
Use Family Sharing to provide parental consent for your child's existing Apple ID - Apple Support
