Apple TV 4K looses wifi connection during idle
Hi Apple folks!
My newly acquired AppleTV 4K (A2737) looses WIFI connection during the day when it sits idle. Must reboot it every morning/evening for it to come back on line to watch TV. (It don't help to swop networks)
There are totally 3 Apple TV in the house (Additionally two A1625). The A1625's work fine.
There are 12 Apple devices (iMac, Mac, TV, iPhone, iPads and watches) of the totally 25 devices on our network (partly wired) and all works fine except A2737.
(We have cameras and more on line)
I have not tested ethernet cabling it yet because that is awkward; It's mounted on the back on a wall TV high up and far from a switch..
A2737 is auto setup as a copy of A1625.
Recently applied an tvOS update (16.3) but that did not change anything.
Wifi signal strength is 4 (out of 5 dots)
I have tried to set fixed IP outside the DHCP range. No change.
Our network is serviced by a dinosaur Apple Airport Time Capsule (OS 7.9.1). Works fine!!!
What have I tried?:
- I have reset wifi-settings in A2737 several times.
- Would cabling it help? (I have a very good signal strength)
- Using my iPhone as router makes no difference until I reboot A2737)
- Would it help do factory reset?
- Could it be a h/w issue in A2737?
- ?
- ?
Would appreciate your hints on how to proceed
Thanks for reading all my text I tried to be explicit and if I forgot something that could be the solve..
Have a great day out there!
Kind regards
Bootheflyer
