Photos from Mac are not syncing to icloud

My Photos from Mac are not syncing to iCloud. In the Photo Library at the bottom there is a message: Syncing X elements to iCloud, but the number is not reducing, it's stuck in the same number.

I have tried pausing, resuming. Restarting, activating iCloud, and so far no progress is made.

Is there someway to force the sync process to iCloud?

thanks

Hello chumacerob,

You've completed some great steps to get your photos synced with iCloud and we'd love to give you a hand.

Be sure that you have enough iCloud Storage. As long as you have enough space in iCloud and on your device, you can store as many photos and videos as you like.

"If you need more iCloud storage

When you sign up for iCloud, you automatically get 5GB of free storage. If you need more space, and access to premium features, you can upgrade to iCloud+.
