How to connect MacBook to iPad pro with sidecar?

Hi there,

I followed the instructions provided here but I have no success to connect my iPad Pro (10,5" wit oPadOS 16.2) to my MacBook Pro (running Ventura 13.1).

Just to summarize:

Both devices use the same Apple Id
2FA is avtive on both devices
both devices are within the same WLAN and close to each other
I have no option to move windows
If I click the display snyc on my MacBook nothing happens, same if I do that on my iPad

Anything I could have missed or that I could check into? Thanks for helping me out.

Thanks for your reply. I just updated but that does not change a thing. Hardware requirements should be met (as I wrote earlier MacBook Pro and iPad Pro), all other requirements that are mentioned should also be met (see my question post).

Regarding your first reference: When I go to systems settings and display, it says that there should be a + on the lower right. Well there isn't (maybe not correct for Ventura anymore?). And if I go to control center

no iPad appears and I still cannot use sidecar.

Interestingly, I also have an Apple TV. When this is turned on, it does appear on both my MacBook and my iPad...

Any other suggestions how to fix this?
