Cannot install Canon printer software on my iOS

First of all, please note the difference between macOS and iOS in order to avoid any confusion. iOS is the operating system used for iPhones (and earlier iPads).

At least the following Canon Canada PIXMA MG2524 support page (select macOS 11) has drivers, such as the MG2525 CUPS Printer Driver Ver.16.70.0.0 (Mac), that are said to support macOS 11 Big Sur (as well as macOS 12 Monterey and macOS 13 Ventura):

Have you tested any of these?

You may have to reset the printing system and re-add the printer:

Please read About AirPrint - Apple Support. There are no AirPrint-enabled Canon Pixma models.

Return it for a refund and purchase an AirPrint-enabled printer or multifunction device.

As a point of clarification: Both my Canon Pixma printers are indeed AirPrint capable. While the Apple compatibility page doesn't mention the word Pixma, my MX922 and Pro-100 are both Pixma models with full AirPrint capability.

Also, the MG2524 appears to be a USB-only model.

Thanks. Prior to posting I did look for any AirPrint-enabled Canon MG models bearing similar designations and found none. I'll be sure not to make that "Pixma" generalization in the future.

No problem. I must say, I did find it odd that the Apple AirPrint compatibility list makes no mention of the Pixma designation for the many Canon printers.
