Cannot install Canon printer software on my iOS

I am using iOS Big Sur Version 11.7.2 and purchased a Canon PIXMA MG2524 today and cannot install any of the software to install the printer from the website because none of the versions are supported by this iOS! I tried connecting with USB and still cannot install the software. What can I do?

Hi,


First of all, please note the difference between macOS and iOS in order to avoid any confusion. iOS is the operating system used for iPhones (and earlier iPads).


At least the following Canon Canada PIXMA MG2524 support page (select macOS 11) has drivers, such as the MG2525 CUPS Printer Driver Ver.16.70.0.0 (Mac), that are said to support macOS 11 Big Sur (as well as macOS 12 Monterey and macOS 13 Ventura):

Have you tested any of these?


You may have to reset the printing system and re-add the printer:
