My weather widget on my Apple watch no longer shows location

This worked great until I upgraded to watch OS 9. Now it shows some expanded hourly temp when all I want is current temp in whatever location I am in like it did before.

Unable to access weather app on watch after installing WatchOS 10.1 Since installing watchOS 10.1 I have been unable to access the weather app on my watch (S5). I can only get to the first screen showing the temperature in the middle, but not any further. Tapping or swiping does not bring out the "hour wheels" like it used to. I've tried resetting the privacy and location settings as suggested from Apple, but this did not change anything. Then i unpaired/reset my watch + restored it from backup - ufortunately this did not help either. Anyone else experiencing this? And has anyone found a solution?

Watch OS 10.1.1 seems to remove useful features from Weather app. I just updated my Apple Watch 6 (GPS) to Watch OS 10.1.1. Since the update, the Weather app has changed. In Watch OS 10 and 10.1, I was able to look at temperature (as an example) and, by scrolling down either with the digital crown or by swiping, get a forecast for temperatures for the next 12 hours, and, scrolling down further, for the next 10 days. This feature no longer seems to be active. Was this done on purpose, or is there something going on with my watch? I have tried restarting the watch after the update, and going to the weather app preference panel, but neither helped.

Using your phone, go into Settings (gear icon), > Privacy & Security, > Location Services, > Apple Watch Faces

Make sure that it's set on "While Using the App"

And yes my weather app says default city is current location. It just won’t show that location any more.
