Email problems with Ventura

Is Apple working on a fix for this problem? I don't want work-arounds. I want my email to function as before. I have the same problem that Antoinette posted. I haven't gotten any email on my desktop or laptop for a week. I know it is Ventura, because the email works on my very old 2012 laptop (Catalina OS), and my husband did not upgrade, so his works. Apple needs to quit denying problems exist and fix them.

I did what you suggested, and now I can't get into my mail at all. I got this message before while trying to write an email since I've had this problem. But now if I click on my Mail, this is all I get. I am trying to undo the settings you suggested, but now I can't access anything under the Mail tab.

You have many options to try—

—Hold the Shift key down when you launch the Mail .app

—Try a Safeboot to sort anomalies How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

—Reinstall the macOS on top of the existing macOS for a refreshed copy of the OS and all baked in apps

I have absolutely no idea what issue you are referring to..you provide zero context or link.

Going back to macOS Monterey— mail has changed, added features, complicated some issues...

see if this helps:

Open the Mail.app select Mail>Settings>Privacy disable:

“Protect Mail Activity”

“Hide IP address”

“Block all remote content”

compare your results and report back.

Context: I was on the Apple community website, to see if anyone else had this problem. On "discussions.apple.com/thread/254321605", the first post was from a woman named Antoinette, detailing the exact same problem and displaying the same long detailed error message as I get. She said she contacted Apple who knew nothing about it. After her post were several posts from people having the same problem. Some suggested work-arounds. Since her post was dated October, I would have thought Apple would have fixed the problem in a subsequent update. I just updated to Ventura recently. I am definitely not a techie. I will try what you suggest since you took the time to write, leroydouglas.
