SanDisk 64gb USB only showing 34gb, how do i fix this

So i've tried searching around for an answer and i cant find anything related to it. I used the usb to recover a friends windows laptop and at that time it had also said it had 64gb on the drive. But after it was used it only allowed a maximum of 34gb on the drive. While i was looking through disk utility I clicked show all devices and this came up..

before i had clicked that it only this..

so it had now shown something else on the left. so which i clicked on that and i was even more confused as this came up..

So i don't understand why its saying its only 34gb when on the physical disk its saying theres 61gb. the usb I'm using is a 64gb usb and always has been. If i could have some help finding out whats wrong with it that would be great.

Thanks

@celliott147 is correct, that there may be free space on the drive which is not part of any partition. Within Disk Utility click on the physical drive like you did in the last picture "SanDisk Ultra Media". Erase the physical drive as GUID partition and the file system of your choice depending on how you intend to use the drive (MacOS Extended, APFS, or exFAT).
