Logitech Spotlight does not work with Ventura

Logitech Spotlight presentation clicker does not work with Ventura. The next and previous slide buttons don't give any response. Running the device under Monterey runs smoothly. I believe that the bluetooth connection is the issue. If you connect the Spotlight to a Monterey mac it is recognised as a keyboard, if you connect it to Ventura it is recognised as a mouse - and the imitation of pressing the arrow right and arrow left buttons does not occur.

After spending a long time on this, I figured out it wasn't working because of permission issues inside of system settings. For me the fix was adding LogiPresentation to:

Privacy & Security > Input Monitoring

Privacy & Security > Accessibility

Thanks so much for suggesting this fix! I had the same problem when moving to a new macbook pro with Sonoma. Reinstalling the software (and giving permissions) didn't work (next/back button would not respond but pointer features worked), until I applied your tricky tip for Accessibility..

Did you have any luck with Logitech? I just bought the same Logitech Spotlight Presenter for a presentation this week, and it's not working.

Do you have the option to switch between functions? I only seem to have the highlight function but not the pointer or the magnifier

I talked to apple support about this for half an hour three weeks ago. Strange they say that this is not known to them.

Thank you for your kind Advice Gary. I have given the permissions that you suggest. My Spotlight is still recognized as a mouse though, making the forward and previous buttons disabled.

Your are soooooo great. My forward button was not working, it worked with a long push, but not in the short push. Now, thanks to you, all is working fine. Thaaaaank.
