iPhone 11 - I rec'd a warning about moisture in my charging port.

Has anyone received this warning before and how long did it take to dry?

Iphone charging problem This morning I got a warning that there’s liquid in the charging port and I left the phone under charge for about 9 hours, It didn’t charge because the software prevented it from doing so, but now when I plug in the charger it starts charging after some time, I can plug it in for 10 seconds it won’t do anything and then starts charging normally. I dried the port, I don’t know if I should leave it dry itself for a day or else. The phone wasn’t submerged in water it was only under 2 pieced of clothing which I got a bit wet I wasn’t showering nor running thru rain so I don’t know. This phone is 1 month old and I haven’t had any problem with an android phone which I had many android phones before.. EDIT: now it starts charging instantlly, sometimed after some time..

My iPhone 15 Pro Max giving we water in charging port warning So, my 15promax started giving we a water in charging port warning. Phone is 3months old. It’s never been in water and lives 90% of the time in a waterproof case. Brought it to the service center and they said the charging pet is corroded. Called Apple and they clim it’s because I live in a humid climate ( Eastern Canada) anybody have any fixes or have the same experience? All my other iPhones have been near water, dropped in pools, generally abused without ANY Problems. Is this a thing with the new usb-c charging ports? I’m so disappointed. 1000$ repair on a 3 month old phone is ridiculous. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Corrosion in charging port My iPhone 15pro is 10 weeks old and stopped charging suddenly. Took it to the iPhone store where they diagnosed corrosion on the pins in the charging port. It has never been exposed to water or moisture. Has anyone ever heard of this? I’m also wondering how long from the time of exposure of the charging port to moisture would it take for the corrosion to happen. I am 100% certain the phone was not exposed in the 10 weeks I’ve owned it so I’m wondering if it could be a factory defect or possibly exposed at the point of purchase location.

"When you connect a Lightning cable or an accessory to your iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, or later, your iPhone can warn you if there's liquid in the Lightning port."

A liquid detection alert can also appear if the port is clogged with dust or tiny debris. Use a toothpick to very carefully clear out the port.
