AirPlay keeps dropping on commercials

I have an LG tv that has AirPlay capabilities. The tv is only a couple years old and is completely up to date on updates. Most times when I am streaming via AirPlay to my tv using ESPN, it drops my connection at every commercial. Recently, in order to make my iPhone able to reconnect, I have to exit the app on my phone AND turn my tv off then back on. Every commercial. It isn't ESPN because I have no issues like this when streaming to other devices. It's beyond irritating and not a single website has had a "fix" that has worked or been accurate. Please help me figure this out.

Same exact issue. Commercial breaks cause AirPlay / casting to television to cease on LG television with iPhone. ESPN has no app for the LG so this is my only option unless I buy some device.

derek, was there any follow up to this? Still seems a known issue with LG OLED TVs.

I still see this issue and it is ridiculous that even after so many reports there is no update on this. It is really frustrating to cast every again every few minutes.

Apple mine does this every single advisement it’s so annoying with my vizo tv brand new so tell me why no one is worried about fixing this

Comcast works better and the picture is better. Apple does not care or they would fix it. We are on our own. Believe it.

Happening on ALL my Rokus and my Samsung TV so it’s fully an Apple and ESPN issue. So annoying.
