What Apple Watches can pair with an iPhone 5s in 2023

Hi, I bought an iPhone 5s on eBay to kinda get a blast from the past. I also wanted to buy an Apple Watch to pair with it. What Apple Watches will pair to an iPhone 5s with iOS 12?

Apple Watch

I'm going with this...

A watch that supports up to watchOS 5.3.9.

I believe up to a Series 4.

Don't assume that I'm right, but I'm pretty sure that I'm close!

My information was obtained from Wikipedia:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_iOS,_tvOS,_and_watchOS_devices

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/WatchOS#Version_history

There is something that I must tell you though!

Let's say that you find a Series 4 watch. A Series 4 watch is capable of running watchOS 9.

Here's the VERY IMPORTANT part:

You are NOT going to be able to pair a Series 4 watch that is running any watchOS above 5.3.9!!!

This is going to be the fun part of your search. You will have to make sure that whatever watch you find; it can NOT be running anything higher that watchOS 5.3.9.

Also, make sure that the watch you find isn't in Activation Lock!
