data migration from Mac OS X 10.6.8 to Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1

Hello,

I'd like to migrate data from my MacBook Pro Max OS X 10.6.8 to my Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1.

I already tried to migrate the data with the migration assistant which didn't work. There was a message "...... _TOO OLD".

I also tried to use drobbox and other clouds, but none of these work.

So, obviously, I need to save all the data on an external drive or USB stick.

Or is there another way to easily transfer the data?

What I might try first is to update your snow leopard install to the maximum you can go (be careful, with these old hard drives data can be lost.) then try it. You may need to update Snow Leopard through the update tab first.

Maybe try high sierra or the such. May need to upgrade from Mountain Lion then go from there though. Hope that helps!
