7th generation iPod nano battery life?

Hi guys, I hope you're doing great. I've got a 7th generation iPod nano and I just wanted to know how many hours of playtime should you get on this iPod?

In fact, my iPod nano just ran out of battery an hour ago or so and it only lasted 18 hours playing music on device, when it's supposed to last 30 hours according to what apple states.

I don't know why I'm not getting ''the 30 hr play time''

Is this normal? or is there anything wrong with the device?

I have bluetooth off and I only use the screen to switch songs.
