Is it possible to adjust audio volumes automatically for different Focuses?

I have different Focuses on my iPhone. Work, Sleep and Normal (also While Driving and Do Not Disturb).

The issue I am having is that for Normal Focus, I want my ringer volume level at some high normal level, because I would be in my house and my phone could lie anywhere.

For Work Focus, I want the volume at a moderate level, so as not to disturb my colleagues. My phone will always be close to me anyway.

For Sleep Focus, I want the volume at quite a low level. So as not to have a heart attack when my alarm goes off.

But even while the Focus switches automatically, I always have to adjust my volumes manually. And obviously, sometimes I forget it, and get woken up by a deafening alarm that immediately raises my adrenalin level to the max.

I can't find anywhere where I can set such a thing up. Anyone?

I have the feeling that it's just not made possible. But I think it's a rather obvious feature to have, with a thing like Focus.

So, that begs the questions: is such a feature being developed, and if so: any idea when it could be released? I'm really sick of waking up to my alarm with the volume at air raid levels.

RetepV ~ Yes, it's possible as Apple's Shortcuts app allows you to create automations triggered by turning on Focus modes:

Create a new personal automation in Shortcuts on iPhone or iPad

Here's a screenshot of the actions you would put in your automation(s)...

Note that a Touch & Hold on the % parameter gives you an Ask Each Time option.

Agreed – It's a difficult balance that Apple has to strike: Between what most iPhone users would want (just volume control) and what power users would want (every control.)

By the way, that 'Set volume' action won't affect Siri's speaking volume – so you may still get a surprise unless you tell Siri to 'Speak softer'.

...Anyway, I'm glad it works for you!
