Airpods Pro 2 showing as 2 separate devices in bluetooth

Hello. I recently discovered that my new Airpods Pro 2 after some use appear as 2 devices in bluetooth quick setting - it shows that 2 devices are connected. Meanwhile in settings it shows that only them are connected so... it is strange already. I have noticed that they are doing this when I use on them "Find My" function or when I use them for like 2/3 days. When I place them in the case, they appear connected on quick setting, but nothing is connected in settings. Also the buds sometimes have problems to connect with my iPhone after I insert them into my ears - it takes about 10 seconds, and when they finally pair the noise when paired really cracles. I have tried to reset them several times, but problem still appears. My Airpods Pro 1st gen didn't have that kind of problems. Please help

Hello Grinnn,

Thanks for connecting with Apple Support Communities. Resetting your AirPods was a great step to take. To clarify, have you tried pairing them with another device to see if you experience the same behavior?

Also, it's important that your iOS device is running the latest software version. This is to ensure that your AirPods Pro have the latest firmware version installed:

"Find your AirPods firmware version

Firmware updates are delivered periodically while your AirPods are charging and in Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Because firmware updates are delivered automatically, you don't need to update your AirPods.

To use your iPhone or iPad to check that your AirPods are up to date, make sure that you have the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, then tap the Info button  next to the name of your AirPods. Scroll down to the About section to find the firmware version.

Latest firmware versions

  • AirPods Pro (2nd generation): 5B58
  • AirPods Pro (1st generation): 5B59
  • AirPods (2nd and 3rd generation): 5B59
  • AirPods Max: 5B59
  • AirPods (1st generation): 6.8.8"

More details here: About firmware updates for AirPods

If your AirPods Pro have the latest firmware version or if the issue persists after updating them, we suggest that you reach out to Apple directly. They will be able to look further into this with you.
