Can I add a password to certain apps?

I share an ipad with my kid and I’d like to restrict access to certain apps from my child but while being able to access them myself. If theres no way to add a password is there any other way to hide apps from them

Being asked to sign in to download app on child's iPad I recently set up my child's iPad with their iCloud account and parental controls turned on. Everything has been fine until they tried to download an app. First we get asked for the passcode, which we know. Then we get asked to sign-in, but it only has a box for a password. I've tried using the password for my child's iCloud account and the password for my iCloud account, but neither works. I tried using the passcode again as well, but that didn't work. I have no idea what other "sign-in" it would be.

Parental controls My mom has parental controls on my phone..totally fine, but I can’t even update any of my apps without her Apple ID password. My mom doesn’t have time to go through all of my apps and update them, and she agreed to turn it off, but she has turned off every parental control and I still can’t update or redownload apps without her password. What do we do?

No. Not unless the app developer built that functionality into the app itself.
