Did you try calling apple support and asking for an exception? Since the green screen was caused by them and not the user. That’s what worked for me with my phone being out of warranty, you just have to be persistent and explain the situation well. Also had it checked and a diagnostic report was given at the istore stating that there’s no physical or water damage to my phone, then I was granted a one time LCD replacement free of charge. Only had to pay for the diagnostic

Facing the Green screen issue in 13 Pro. Managed to do a backup somehow by guessing where the screen buttons would be. But Green screen still there after factory restore. This does seem to be a product defect and customers are made to pay for it. I am not going to buy anything beyond SEs in future.

Dear scammers of Apple, I updated my iPhone 14 Pro Max to iOS 16.5 and 4-5 days after the updated had the deadly green screen issue. Pathetic that you charge $1500+ for a phone which you sold as a new version of the phone with a new software! How do I fix this issue? Charging customers $400 to change screens for an issue you cannot resolve? Premium price for premium ****? When does the acceptance of fault come into your picture?

This is a very serious issue & needs to be addressed.

My dad uses an iPhone 13 Pro Max and is facing white screen issues after updating the iPhone.

Apple was a trusted brand once. Because of your false update, we have to bear the cost, why is that so??

It's APPLE fault Apple should resolve it for free.

Apple hasn’t mentioned to any of the iPhone users that you shouldn’t update this version, it all the iPhone all the time, and when there is a big update it pups up to update it, so my dad did it, and after updating the iPhone, it turned into a white screen.

What is the resolution for this issue? Seems like a World Wide Issue!

FYI: There is no single damage on my dad's device

Same thing happened to me today. iPhone 14promax. 2 weeks past 1 year warranty. Had to pay $421 after tax for the new screen. $50 for a new screen protector and $200 for apple care because I’m not getting screwed again by them. This is b.s. it’s a hardware issue. I didn’t cause this problem. I feel like I just got raped. If it was my fault…I understand. But after spending $1200 on a phone a year ago I shouldn’t have to pay $400 to repair their defective screen.

Jul 2024, iPhone 13 Pro Max. It's the same issue with the green screen.

Visited AASP where a guy said: Your phone is not under warranty and there is no service program, so we can't do anything without Apple approval.

After that I reached out Apple support via chat, where we did some attemps to troubleshooting and he said I need to call my local apple support. Ok, I called them where a guy said now you need to reset the device to the scratch via you MBP and if it's not helped you can go to AASP where they will take it. Ok done, nothing fixed and I visited another AASP where did they tell me "you know, your phone is not under warranty and it happens with other devices too, so the cost will be around 500€".

Shame Apple. For 500€ you can buy an another used iPhone 13 pro max lol.

Now if you are buying Apple device you need to start to collect money each month for the new one, just in case.
