Macbook Pro 2019 Latest OS

This is what started happening after i upgraded to the latest OS. I cant say that is was happening before, because I hadn't used the mac in a few months. But you can see in the picture the issue i'm having. Reinstalling the OS didn't fix it. The diagnostics say there is nothing wrong even if I run it looking like that. If I power down it goes away then eventually comes back. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

For troubleshooting have you tried safe mode, check if you have same kind of issue in safe mode?

Also to isolate the issue try connecting to an external monitor to check if the connected display in mirror mode, also has the same issue.

Since the re-install didn't help, i would assume it is more related to an hardware issue. You may need to contact Apple Support.

Usually vertical lines and bars indicate a hardware issue with the LCD Panel (or in this case the Display Assembly). You can try connecting an external display to see whether the video on the external display is Ok or similarly affected. Unfortunately it can be difficult getting video to an external display when the built-in display is having issues.

You can try using Clamshell Mode to attempt to force video to the external display. You will need to connect a wired USB keyboard and mouse as well as connecting the charger. Power on the laptop and immediately close the display as soon as you hear the startup chime. If video appears on the external display, then you can attempt to enable "mirroring" and lifting the built-in display up so you can compare the screens (you may first need to lift the built-in display first before mirroring is an option)...just make sure you are logged into the laptop first.

Most likely this is a hardware failure of some sort.

You can have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop to provide you with a repair estimate.
