My indoor walking tracking is off

I got my Apple Watch SE 2 weeks ago. In the beginning, my indoor walking tracking was pretty close to what the treadmill said-maybe .01-.07 off at the most. Now it is usually off by .05 (half a mile) and I don’t understand why. I have detect gym equipment on.
