How do I format Text in Podcast Description

I use soundcloud to produce my RSS feed for my Podcast. Although I enter spaces between certain lines or paragraphs in my podcast description, Apple Podcast description does not put theh spaces between lines. It is really frustrating. All other podcast players/platforms show the spaces. I have seen many other podcasters using spaces in their podcast descriptions. What am I doing wrong??

Help! Please!

Paragraph spaces using returns is what I’m doing. I am also using double returns, but it still doesn’t work on Apple, yet it works on all other podcast platforms…

Sorry, I don’t know what you mean by “soft returns”. When I get to the end of a sentence, I hit enter twice to create a blank line, and then begin a new paragraph.

please advise:)

Ok, so I am specifically talking about the view from an iOS device. That is where my issue is... My guess was also the design in fitting the info, except there are A LOT of people with Podcast on Apple that have the spaces between lines with WAY more text than me...

Again, other podcast platforms show the spaces even on the iOS device. It seems to only be an Apple issue, yet others seem to have figues it out?

Descriptions should be written in plain text: Apple does not display formatting such as italics. However paragraph spaces using returns should be OK, Iincluding two to provide a blank line. How are you making the space? Soft returns won't work at all. If you care to post the URL of your feeds and your Apple Podcasts page I'll have a look at it and see if anything strikes me.

Looking at episode 57, there is a double return between paragraphs 1 and 2, and a single return between 2 and 3.

This shows everywhere I looked: the web page preview you linked to, the Podcasts app on Catalina without subscribing, and with subscribing. I can't check it on an iOS device - is that where you see the missing spaces? If so, it might be designed in as a way of fitting more information on the small screen, though that's a guess.

(A soft return os shift-return: this should have the same effect anyway. It only really counts in word processors where you can have more space after a paragraph than after a line.)

I'm afraid I can't advise on this: I can't check your's or other's podcasts on iOS and obviously I wouldn't be able to look at their feeds. You coud trly asking in the iPhone forum: you could also try Podcasts Support though I suspect you won't get much of an answer as they tend not to deal with problems at the creator's end (it would get out of hand very quickly), only at their end.
