application memory warning comes up

Why is this happening. I have a new mac pro. Only have one page open in Safari and mail and then Application warning comes up asking me to close something.

"System has run out of application memory" MacBook Pro Issue Hi there, Could you please help suggest some changes I can make to repair this issue. My mac keeps bringing up a pop-up saying: "System has run out of application memory to avoid problems with your computer quit any applications you are not using". Even after I quit most of my applications except for the ones I am using (usually Word, Chrome and Mail), I continue getting this pop-up. My Chrome - 675MB Mail - 195MB Other apps go up to 500MB (Etrecheck) Slack and Zoom are 100-300MB Finder is 215MB etc. Is it because I have too many add-ins in my Chrome? Your system has run out of application memory Imac 24" M1 chip 16 GB memory Ventura 13.0.1 Started getting this message today while using LR. The first time it happened I also had Safari open. I shut down Safari and tried using the app again, it locked up again. No other apps were open at the time and I was not doing any task that I have not performed many times before without issues. I have no 3rd party anti virus apps installed. I ran etrecheck and will attach the results.

Something isn't right.

Consider using EtreCheck and posting its report in a reply to this Discussion. How to use the Add Text Feature When Posting Large Amounts of Text, i.e. an Etrecheck Report - Apple Community contains a download link and instructions for posting its report.
