Copy DVD to Flash Drive

Followed directions in this earlier post:

But, clicking on the Disk Image now on my flash drive look like this:

Is there a way to now play this DVD?

Is there a certain format I should have entered for the flash drive? It was Mac OS Extended (Journaled) when I transferred the Disk Image.

Appreciate any help & advice.

Thanks for this...tried a solution I found on WikiHow & it worked as you described:

Placed DVD in external player ->

Opened Disk Utility ->

Clicked on DVD's name in left panel->

Up to FILE menu & selected NEW IMAGE ->

Clicked on IMAGE FROM [DVD NAME] ->

Entered a name in the "Save as" field ->

Selected [DVD/CD Master] from the FORMAT menu ->

Selected my Flash Drive as saving location from the "WHERE" menu->

Clicked SAVE->

Disk Utility created an image file ending with the .CDR file extension on the Flash Drive->

Double-clicking on the .CDR file mounts a Disk Image on the Desktop->

Opening DVD PLAYER results in the DVD playing from the Flash Drive!

I have not seen " DVDROM Features " on a disk image before.

However, with what you show above, I believe you would also get displayed on your desktop the mounted disk image similar to what I have shown below. It looks like a picture of a hard drive.

If you do, then double click on your Application called " DVD Player ".

Hopefully your movie should play.

Depending on the speed of your flash drive it may stutter on playback.
