Download full versions of photos after turning off iCloud photos

So I was wondering how to go about downloading the full versions of my iCloud Photos, after removing them from my iCloud storage. Shortly after receiving this email, I attempted to do it, but even when connected to power, I don’t see the button.

I was wondering if I went to the wrong place (because buttons like this are usually just grayed out with an explanation for why) or if there is another reason why I don’t have this option. This is happening on an iPhone 14 Pro,

iOS 16.1.2.

I also am not interested in purchasing more iCloud storage.

thank you for your help.

Hello Whal3y,

Based on the screenshots you've shared, you're not seeing the option to "Download and Keep Originals" because iCloud Photos has already been disabled. This behavior is expected.

If you've already verified that all your photos and videos are in the Photos app on your iPhone, there's nothing more that you need to do.

If you're missing some content, and you're still able to see it when you check here: iCloud then you have a couple options to retrieve it.

  1. Enable iCloud Photos on your device again, and turn on "Download and Keep Originals." Set up and use iCloud Photos will walk you through this.

Use the steps in Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud to download the photos and videos on a different device.

Regards.
