How do I get the date and time inserted in all of my Pages documents?

How do I get the date and time inserted in all of my documents? Pages, Numbers, etc. I am 78 and forgot how....and these help me keep up with re-prints. Thank you!

Just note that once you have inserted the date/time, it will not automatically reset to the current date/time on subsequent opens of the document.

If you need a date/time that will change each time the Pages document is opened, then create a single-cell table whose formula is =now, change the date/time formatting to suit, set the table outline to None, and move the table over the header field where you want it to appear. Then lock it down with Arrange panel > Lock.
