Carrier unlocking

I want to buy an iPhone from the US but i can only find carrier locked ones, can i pay the full amount for the phone and get it unlocked without having any issues??

You can buy unlocked phones directly from Apple.

Phones purchased directly from Apple w/o a carrier affiliation are unlocked.


Other considerations:


Note that while they are “world-wide” phones, their frequency bands might not exactly line-up with all that is available from carriers in other regions.


Obtaining warranty repair outside the U.S. will also be problematic.


iPhone 14s sold in U.S. can’t accept nanoSIMs.


It’s always best to purchase an iPhone marketed in the region of it’s primary use.
