Changed the home directory name, can't go back to the previous one

I changed the name of my home directory from "Users" to "home" in Mac Os. Previously, a pathname for a file was "Macintosh HD->Users->*my name*". But, now it is "Macintosh HD-> System-> Volumes -> Macintosh HD-> home -> *my name*". After renaming, it is creating some problems with the laptop. So I want to go back to the previous home directory name. How can I do it? I tried to change it in the way I renamed it before. But that method is not working anymore.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.2
