I can’t type in my password while in the Lock Screen/log-on. Once in awhile I’ll get a pop up that says “mouse keys on”. Not sure what that is or how to shut it off, but now can’t login to MacBook Air.

I just tried Option-Command-F5 on the login screen on mine to verify that it would work there and it does for me. I don't have any other ideas other than the ones listed above. You may want to contact Apple: Contact - Official Apple Support
You might want to try pressing the Option key five times to toggle Mouse Keys. It's apparently the default Mouse Keys toggle (if enabled) according to what I'm seeing in macOS 13.2.1.
If yours is enabled via the toggle switch in the System Settings panel below, you may want to turn the toggle off so it doesn't enable again via the "Option key pressed five times" shortcut.
Thanks for your answer; however, none of this works. I’m in the startup screen or login screen and there are no options available except to type in password, which the keyboard won’t do, only two characters work then nothing. I’ve tried the option key and F5 combos but nothing.
Thanks again! I tried and still nothing charges. I’ll go to Apple support next.
