How to properly send a Final Cut Pro X Library bundle back to the original sender?

I have been sent a FCP Library bundle, which was created by another FCP user. In this bundle, it includes only proxy files. I have made a few changes and the size of the library bundle with all the proxies in it, is 32gb in size, and I wish to send the file back to the owner so that can colour grade and make their own adjustments to my work.

The problem: The file is too big for me to send back and I want only to send back the project file, and NOT any proxy files, since they have the proxy file them selves, so there is no need for me to send it back with the files. Is it possible for me to send the project file back to the other person without the proxy files.

I tried a YouTube method of File > Delete Generated Library Files and deleting proxy media, but it deleted ALL of the proxy media completely, from inside and outside the project. Fortunately, I had a back up of everything, otherwise my entire work would have been lost.

I am using the latest version of FCP and so is the other FCP user.

There are several ways to potentially do this. If you only need to get an edited timeline/Project to the other editor, you could select the Project in the Browser and export an XML file for the project. You could also export an XML file for the Library.

You could also duplicate the Library in the Finder, rename it, and open that Library in FCP, delete generated media and the proxies. Then, send that back to the other editor...

Davis, you're a genius.

I actually sent the other editor an XML file shortly before I made this comment, out of desperation and waited for him to see if there was any success, and the XML file worked perfectly, but I didn't know you could just export an XML for the project only, so that's some important info.

The duplicate solution is also a genius move too, it sounds so simple when you think about it, but that thought never crossed my mind. Thanks so much for the great solutions and the quick response and wishing you the best Davis.

Also, if you happen to know why, when I exported the XML version of this library, I attempted to open the XML on my own FCP, but it was greyed out, preventing me from opening it. Do you know why that could be?

You're welcome.

I just tried exporting my active Library as XML (after selecting the Library in the sidebar). That worked. I then used "File -> Import -> XML..." and it opened the previously saved XML file (I stopped the import, in order to not disturb the opened Library). So, it seems to work for me...
