I want to view an individual contact as it was about 3 months ago.
Using time machine to go back and finder/applications, either I cannot see the Contacts app or if I can it doesn't let me view the individual entries. My iMac is up to date with Ventura 13.2
Any clues? TIA

Not exactly clear on how you have used Time Machine to try and view the contact, but this is how I would do it.
Are your Contacts synced with iCloud? If they are, Time Machine will not back them up. You would have to go to iCloud.com, then select Data Recovery. It should list the versions that are available for your Contacts. When you restore these, you current version will be archived so you can revert back to that one.

Super quick reply, thanks. This works well in going backwards but the contacts are greyed out and I can’t scroll to the one I want to view.
The option to restore is there but if I do this and it works I will have lost all changes made after that restore date I think?
With imac quarantined, Contacts shows no cards at any time machine dates - as you said.
Internet only restored and icloud data recovery goes through the motions but also shows no cards. This process repeated sees the 10 archived files replaced from oldest each time so now I have files from only 2 days.
At least turning Contacts back on to icloud syncing sees Contacts bake to normal.
I’ll just have to confess and ask my incomplete contact for the missing informations again😔

Another helpful and speedy answer. I’ll try this tomorrow or Fri. I think I’ll quarantine the mac from internet so my phone is kept untouched if things go wrong.
