Airpods Pro cracking sound issue and Help

Hello my Airpods pro 1st gen with magsafe case are starting getting un issue.

In my lef airpod when i use noise cancellation or transparency mode in middle to high volume there is a lot of cracking sound like a old car speakers. I tried all the steps for cleaning and reseting the airpods, but nothing worked for me. Unfortunately the date that i bought them is november 2019, and they don't cover by apple programe. New one in Bulgaria is around 130 euros ......... It's very frustrating cause i only used them in home and only couple of times out doors, due to 2020-2022 to covid. And couple of weeks ago when i go for a ride with my bike them the left one start cracking.

Can someone has a fix for this issue, cause for near 250 euro's you are getting ...............

For help regarding your AirPods, test the steps below found in the article here: If your AirPods Pro (1st generation) make crackling or static sounds


"Follow these steps.


  1. Make sure that you have the latest software on your connected iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac.
  2. Check that your connected device is nearby, and there's no wireless interference or obstructions between you and your device. 
  3. Listen to audio from a different app to see if the app causes the issue. 


If you still experience sound quality issues—or if the issues increase in loud environments, with exercise, or while talking on the phone—refer to AirPods Pro Service Program for Sound Issues."



Additionally the service program the steps are referring to mentions "Apple has determined that a small percentage of AirPods Pro may experience sound issues. Affected units were manufactured before October 2020." You can find that and more here: AirPods Pro Service Program for Sound Issues

Hi OrigamiFan1 and thank you for the reply. I search the issue and talk to Apple support in my country, but unfortunately they pass the 3 years after purchase support for that issue because I bought them in November 2019, and I start noticing the cracking sound this month :/ So that’s why I wrote here is there a fix. I watch may be all the videos in YouTube for cleaning resetting and all the steppes to make them work. Also reset my phone, try with my MacBook and my wife’s iphone, but nothing seems to work. Like a Great community the last step for me is to write here. I’m an Apple fan boy since 2010 with my iphone 3Gs…..
