Voicemail badge won't clear

Hi,

I have an iPhone 12 Pro, and have had a voicemail recently. answered the voicemail and deleted. However the voicemail badge will not clear from my phone.

I have the most unto date iOS, have tried restarting the phone, removing the sim and reconnecting, also tried the advice seen before to disable badges - restart the phone - enable badges.

Still nothing is working...

Please can someone advise.

I know this is a very "first world" issue, but still an annoyance.

Try this:

From another phone leave yourself a VM.

Then … recover your VM.

See if the “badge” clears.

MWIs (Message Waiting Indicators) often got “out of sync” in the pre-smartphone days, and this often worked.
