I use to be able to delete gmail on my phone and it would delete on my Macbook. Now I have to do it on both. Anyone know what changed or how to change it back?

Is this email your Apple ID? Are you signed in to the same Apple ID on both of your Apple devices? Do you have your emails set up as IMAP or POP account? These answers will help us to further isolate the cause.
