Hyundai Santa Fe phone issue

I have a 2018 Santa Fe and. I connect my phone though usb. I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max. At some point I lost the ability to properly receive Phone calls through my car. The phone rings and answers and the caller can hear me but they do not come through the speakers. I can not hear the caller. I’m currently on iOS 16.3.1 but the issue started before this iOS version. I’m told Hyundai needs to release an update. Is there a timeline? This is beyond frustrating. I take meetings in the car and am on the phone a lot.

Hey there Bowwowz,

Regarding your question about when Hyundai will release any firmware updates, this is entirely up to Hyundai. You'll need to reach out to them for more details about that. We'd like to learn more about what's happening to see how we can help, along with ruling out some possible causes:

  1. When did this start to occur?
  2. Do you have your iPhone connected to and/or paired with it besides your car?
  3. Is this a Bluetooth car stereo, or do you have CarPlay?
  4. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone
  5. From where did you hear that Hyundai 'needs to release an update' regarding your issue?

Cheers!
