Installation failure

I can't install any applications on my Mac. Never had this problem before. Doesn't matter if it is Microsoft applications, Zoom or any other legit software, I always get 'Installation failed'. Any suggestion what can be the problem? Thanks.

Hey LeThor,

We'll be happy to see how we can help in Apple Support Communities.

You didn't mention what macOS software version is installed on your MacBook Air. It could be the version installed is not compatible with the application. You can verify the version of your Mac's software by clicking the Apple menu > About This Mac.

Also, while you are in About This Mac, go ahead and verify the amount of storage you have available. It could be there isn't enough space to install the application. Here is the link if you should need to free up storage.

If you still need help, reach back out and let us know more details like the software version on your Mac, how much storage is available, and the exact message you are seeing.

Take care!
