Pictures on iphone 12
Why after I send pictures or videos by text on my iPhone 12 they look like question marks and I can’t retrieve them again?

Here are a few suggestions that may help:
1) Ensure that you have sufficient storage available on the iPhone by going to Settings, then tapping General, then tapping About. If you have low storage you may free up space by following the appropriate section of How to check the storage on your iPhone and iPad.
2) Verify your iPhone is up-to-date on software by following the guide Update your iPhone or iPad.
3) If you use Low Power Mode, try disabling that to see if the behavior changes.
4) If these files were created or acquired via a third-party application, your iPhone may not be able to open those files outside that software.
If all of those suggestions fail to help, reach out to Apple Support to investigate further.
