As far as my understanding goes 5G (SA) and 5G (NSA) is a technology provided by Cellular Operators in India based on the infrastructure they have or used.
I am unable to understand how mobile users can choose between the two different technology infrastructures.
Please understand this...
5G (Fifth Generation) mobile technology has two deployment options: Stand Alone (SA) and Non-Stand Alone (NSA).
Overall, SA 5G is considered to be the more advanced and desirable deployment option for 5G networks, while NSA 5G allows for a more gradual transition to the new technology.
Excellent analysis. I would add that it really doesn’t matter to the user whether their connection is SA or NSA if the network performance meets their needs.
But in my case 5g is not running in my iPhone 13
If you don’t have 5G contact your carrier. Either you don’t have a 5G SIM or they don’t have 5G coverage in your area.
I am using jio5g with 61 rupees additional plan on my iphone 13 and i m also 5g coverage area . Its showing jio5g NSA .
Congratulations!!
It means Jio has launched 5G NSA only for you.
I’ve provided multiple screenshots to prove that Jio is on working with 5G SA. Please read all previous discussions, hopefully that will clarify your understanding.
Where exactly do you see 5G NSA? In which menu/screen?
Same here for me. 5G standalone toggle is missing. I am from India & my carrier is JIO
Not getting standlone option
as jio 5G is not working for me
You would become enlightened if you read the thread you posted to. JIO’s network is now all 5G SA, so there is no need for a switch.
Solution... Just do network reset in reset iphone option and then select 5g on again.
does this mean the Standalone toggle switch is back after network reset? I don’t think so. Please confirm
5g will start working again. No you will not need button anymore
Update my iOS to iOS 15
