there is no generic way to play music over wifi, it could be using airplay 2 Use AirPlay to stream audio - Apple Support
or some other protocol or maybe the tv does not support acting as a wifi speaker at all, and just use wifi for apps and the likes if it's a smart tv
the solution to your problem will likely be in obtaining more information about what you do and what tv it is
