Why is it that when I go to https://mysupport.apple.com/product/1 , it shows this line "We're sorry, but we're unable to find your coverage information at this time. Please try again later later later"

Did you buy that iPhone via Apple official channels (Apple Online Shop, Apple physical store, Apple Authorized Reseller)? Should be this case, did you check also this link:--> checkcoverage.apple.com ?
