Type 1 Fonts

My type 1 fonts are installed, enabled and verified in Font Book, but are not available in any of my Adobe apps.

In what struck me as a big surprise, Adobe also removed every one of their Helvetica styles from the CC font server.


For older fonts you still need to use, you can convert them to OpenType. There are numerous online sites that will do this for free. You upload your font, and download the converted one.


There's also desktop apps that do this. TransType and FontXChange are stand-alone font converters. And there's the free FontForge, which is a full font editor. You could open the old T1 font in that and export it as OpenType.
