Why am I unable to accept terms and conditions on iCloud after updating to iOS 16.4?

There is a serious bug in the update software that has left large numbers of iPhone customers out in the cold, unable to use iCloud and iCloud services for which they (we) are paying. I accepted the terms and conditions and I am still locked out. So are many others. Some people have gotten past it but nothing anyone suggests works for me and many many others. How about some help from Apple with another update to fix this mess?

After I updated my phone it won’t let me accept the new terms and conditions, it doesn’t even pop up. I can’t use anything that requires microphone or photos. Nothing that has been suggested has worked for me. I hope Apple fixes this bug or Apple gives us a new update.

This still did not work for me. I have one iCloud account. Any other thoughts? I logged out of iCloud and back in and that had no effect. Apple support was clueless. I would like to get rid of this message.

Got the solution to the problem from a chat with an Apple supporter:

You may have multiple iCloud accounts configured.

Try to remove the other iCloud account shown in the following locations:

Settings > Mail(Calendar, Notes, Reminder, Contacts) > Accounts

It worked for me and the issue of not being able to accept terms and conditions is history.

I have the exact same problem after upgrading to iOS/iPadOS 16.4. Except that the new terms and conditions do not open on my iPad when I click on Terms and Conditions”. Instead the spinning wheel keeps on turning. All good on MBP and iPhone. Signing out of iCloud and signing in again does not solve the problem. Neither does restarting iPad.

iPhone no longer does updates due to age but my iPad has had the recent update and won’t link with iCloud and has not even got a link to agree with terms and conditions. I edit all my photos in Lightroom on here but cannot save them to my photos. If anyone has an answer to this issue it would be great. Thank you

I'm having the same issue on my iPhone 13. The terms and conditions just spin and doesn't let me accept it.

IS THEIR A REAON THEIR ISNT A RESPONSE CAUSE LIKE CALLING THE 100 number is like a 50/50 chance u even talking to APPLE!!!

Has anyone found a solution to this is quite frustrating I’m having exact same issue on my iPhone 11 Pro Max after updating it I tap to accept it won’t even view it it just freezes, and then I have to force close the app of settings

Me either 😫. I do have two iCloud accounts. One says it is ‘Inactive’. When I tried to sign out of that account, I cannot. It says ‘Signout is not available due to restrictions’.

I’m trying to set up my AirTag for a trip and cannot do so without agreeing to the iCloud terms. Help Apple!!

This worked for me. So I have 2 iPhones and I used one iCloud for both and I changed to using 2 iCloud accounts. I did what was above and removed my old gmail and replaced with the new gmail and it worked. Kudos for figuring this one out to "airwalker".

No like Fr, we are paying a lot of money just to even use this phone. Why is this question still a **** question why wasn’t it answered so we finna just chalk this up to a bug??????? WHAT THEY NOT FIX IT???????????
